How to order medicines from Germany online through Aquis Apteka

How to order medicines from Germany quickly, safely, and with delivery? At Aquis Apteka you can place an order online, receive a consultation, and choose a convenient way to receive your medicines. Below you will find a detailed step-by-step guide.

Availability

Our website features the most common medicines: if you do not find the one you need, do not despair. Contact us and we will tell you how to order medicines from Germany!

You can find out the availability in German pharmacies, the cost of the medicine and of postal shipping to your country, as well as the approximate transit time to your region, by filling out a short enquiry form on the «Contact». Once you have received information about the availability and cost of the medicine you need, please send us the first name, surname, recipient’s address with postal code, e-mail address, and a contact phone number.

To avoid errors, orders for medicines are not accepted by phone: please refrain from calling. The phone number is provided solely to link to the messengers. When ordering, please be sure to state the name of the medicine or the active substance, the dosage form, the required strength, the desired manufacturer, the number of units of the medicine per pack, the number of packs, and the city of delivery.

Payment procedure

Cash-on-delivery payment (payment upon receipt) is not possible. We conduct all settlements in euros, not in the national currency of your country. Payment can be made by transfer to our company’s bank account in Germany. We do not accept cryptocurrency. We do not send payment links.

After 100% of the payment has been received, we order the medicine from the pharmacy. As a rule, the order is fulfilled within 1-2 working days; in the case of exceptionally rare medicines ordered directly from the manufacturer, somewhat longer.

The time for processing and handling an order depends on the availability of the medicines at the pharmacy and on the delivery time from the pharmacy warehouse / from the supplier / directly from the manufacturer.

Urgent processing of an order within 12 hours after the medicines arrive at the pharmacy from the pharmacy warehouse is possible for an additional fee. The surcharge for urgent order processing is 15€.

For customers from Russia, please note:

a) the invoice can be paid from any bank not under sanctions, for example, OTP Bank;
b) the order can be paid from any foreign account (yours or that of your relatives or acquaintances). The payer can be any person

Do you need a doctor’s prescription to order medicines from Germany?

Prescriptions issued outside the EU are not valid in Germany. Our invoice amount includes a service fee for obtaining a private prescription for the medicines you need. If the patient does not have a prescription valid in Germany, i.e. a prescription issued in one of the EU countries, Norway, Switzerland, Iceland, or Liechtenstein, our consulting doctor will issue one after first checking the indications.

When ordering potent medicines and cytostatics, it is recommended that you provide us with a photograph or scan of the prescription for the medicine issued by your doctor or of the doctor’s prescription order.

Thus, German pharmacies accept prescriptions from EU countries:

Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Hungary, Germany, Greece, Denmark, Ireland, Spain, Italy, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, the United Kingdom, Finland, France, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Sweden, Estonia, England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland), the states of the European Economic Area — Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway — as well as Switzerland.

Prescriptions for medicines from other countries are not valid in Germany. These include, for example, prescriptions from Turkey, Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Serbia, or the USA.

Shelf life of medicines when ordering medicines from Germany

A shelf life of medicinal products of 6 months or more is considered long. By issuing prescriptions to patients, doctors thereby prescribe the immediate use of the medicines. In Germany and other EU countries it is not customary to purchase medicines in advance, especially since the health insurance funds pay only for medicines prescribed by doctors.

We understand our customers’ wish to build up a supply of medicines and we accommodate you: when ordering several packs of medicines in advance, please state the minimum acceptable shelf life.

Medicines requiring an «uninterrupted cold chain»

Please note that medicines, vitamins, and vaccines that require an «uninterrupted cold chain» (temperature range +2…8 °C) and transport to the recipient in special containers can be purchased exclusively on the terms of self-pickup by the customer. We are prepared to bring them to any German airport or to any city.

We do not and never have offered courier transport of medicines for orders, including in thermal containers, because, under the legislation of many countries, only patients themselves or other persons acting under the patient’s power of attorney are entitled to take prescription medicines out of the country.
