Medicines from Germany to Russia — delivery and ordering

We help arrange the receipt of medicines and health products from Germany with delivery to Russia. All medicines are purchased on your behalf at licensed pharmacies in Germany, and the parcel is shipped by Deutsche Post/DHL post with a tracking number.

Our service is not an online pharmacy. We support the order, the preparation of documents, and shipping within the applicable rules, while the decision to dispense the medicine is made by the licensed pharmacy.

How to order medicines to Russia

To receive a quote, please send:

• the name of the medicine;
• the strength and dosage form;
• the required quantity.

Before confirming the order, we check the composition of the medicine against the Russian lists of controlled substances and the State Register of Medicinal Products (GRLS): some medicines cannot be sent by post at all (see more below). After full payment, we purchase the medicine at the pharmacy, send a photograph of the purchase, prepare the shipping and customs documents, pack the order, and hand it over to a Deutsche Post/DHL branch.

What documents are required

For prescription medicines, a prescription or a doctor’s order (a photograph or scan) is sufficient.

If there is no prescription, please send an extract from your medical history — after studying it, our consulting doctors can issue a private prescription for the medicine you need.

Order cost

The cost is calculated individually and includes:

• the pharmacy dispensing price of the medicines;
• the cost of the Deutsche Post/DHL postal shipment;
• the service fee;
• the costs of packaging and document preparation.

The final amount depends on the medicine, the dosage form, the number of packs, and the shipping parameters, so we provide the exact price after analysing your enquiry.

Delivery methods

Post: Deutsche Post/DHL — Russian Post or EMS

The main working channel is DHL Paket International: in Germany, the parcel is accepted by Deutsche Post/DHL, and delivery within Russia is carried out by Russian Post (collection at a post office) or EMS (door-to-door delivery).

We are honest with you: the express services DHL Express, UPS, and FedEx stopped shipments to Russia in 2022 and have not resumed them, while the CDEK service expressly prohibits the shipment of medicines. Therefore, there is currently only one reliable postal route — the combination of the state postal services of Germany and Russia. Please check the possibility of shipping via niche carriers with the operator: their terms for medicines are verified for each order.

Receipt without post

• self-pickup from Germany;
• delivery to the airports of Cologne/Bonn, Düsseldorf, Brussels, Frankfurt, Dortmund for subsequent self-pickup;
• on request — delivery to the airport in a thermal container (for an additional fee), which is relevant for medicines with temperature requirements. We do not ship thermolabile medicines in thermal containers by post.

Delivery times to Russia

The official Deutsche Post/DHL guideline for Russia is 14–22 working days. In practice, delivery times on this route are unstable: owing to customs and sanctions checks, a parcel may take approximately 3 to 6 weeks. The operator confirms the exact time and method of delivery before payment. The parcel goes through two customs clearances — we cannot speed up this process or guarantee the timeframes.

Tracking of shipments

The invoice lists the websites and platforms for tracking postal shipments. Information about the parcel in the Russian Post or EMS system appears after the shipment is handed over from Deutsche Post; until that point, track the parcel according to the instructions in the invoice.

What is important to consider

Rules for importing medicines into Russia for personal use (Art. 50 of Federal Law No. 61 «On the Circulation of Medicines», clarifications of the Federal Customs Service of Russia):

• Ordinary medicines — without narcotic, psychotropic, potent, or toxic substances — may be received by a private individual for personal use without permits, including medicines not registered in Russia.
• Medicines containing narcotic, psychotropic, potent, or toxic substances are prohibited from being sent in international postal shipments. Medical documents help only when carrying items personally across the border. We check the composition of each medicine before confirming the order.
• Quantity — within reasonable limits of a course of treatment (the «for personal use» criterion); there is no strict numerical limit for ordinary medicines.
• Duty-free threshold — 200 € and 31 kg per shipment; if exceeded, a customs payment may apply.

Responsibility for complying with the legislation of the recipient’s country, including customs and other restrictions, lies with the recipient.
