Indications: primary hyperlipidaemia: indicated to reduce elevated levels of total cholesterol (total-C), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), apolipoprotein B (Apo B), triglycerides (TG) and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), as well as to raise high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) in patients with primary (heterozygous familial and non-familial) hyperlipidaemia or mixed hyperlipidaemia; homozygous familial hypercholesterolaemia: indicated to reduce elevated total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol in patients with homozygous familial hypercholesterolaemia as an adjunct to other lipid-lowering treatments (for example, LDL apheresis) or when such treatments are unavailable
