Indications
- Inflammation of the external ear canal (otitis externa)
- Eczema of the external ear canal
- Bacterial-inflammatory diseases of the auricle
- Adjunctive treatment for acute otitis media
How to take
For adults and children: 2–4 drops into the ear canal 3–4 times a day, spreading the doses throughout the day. Before instilling, warm the bottle in your hand to body temperature and apply the drops into the ear canal with the pipette provided. The duration of treatment is determined by the doctor; continuous use for longer than 10 days is not recommended.
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to cinchocaine, dexamethasone or other components
- Skin tuberculosis in the area of application
- Syphilitic lesions in the area of application
- Shingles of the ear (herpes zoster oticus)
- Fungal infections (mycoses) in the area of application
- Rosacea
Possible side effects
- Rarely — local allergic reactions: inflammation, swelling, redness, rash
- With prolonged use — atrophy of the skin of the ear canal
- Dilation of small blood vessels (telangiectasia)
Special precautions
